About The Role:
Shift Pattern: 5 from 7, including bank holidays to include 07.00-15.00 and 14.00-22.00 on 4 week rota shift.
The Facilities Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the theme park’s infrastructure and attractions. Working closely with the Head of Facilities, engineers, and external contractors, this position supports daily maintenance activities, compliance tasks, contractor coordination, and operational administration to help uphold the park’s high standards of safety, presentation, and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Support & Task Management
- Carry out Level of Completion (LoC) checks to ensure maintenance and repair tasks meet required standards.
- Manage assigned tasks, ensuring SLA compliance and obtaining approvals for extensions where required.
- Review job sheets from contractors and engineers, raising any required follow-up actions.
- Create and manage tasks for quoted works and remedial requirements.
- Assist with coordination of repairs and maintenance activities across attractions and facilities.
- Procurement & Resource Coordination
- Raise purchase orders for materials, consumables, and contractor services.
- Order and track hire equipment, ensuring timely off-hire.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment hires and stock usage.
- Contractor & Engineer Coordination
- Raise permits to work for sub-contractors and manage access requirements.
- Assist with scheduling engineers and contractor’s work.
- Chase engineers and contractors for updates and progress reports.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all work complies with park safety policies and statutory requirements.
- Maintain documentation for tasks, permits, and contractor activity.
- Cross-Site & Remote Support
- Provide administrative support for other park sites as required.
