Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 06:30 - 15:00 (Friday and Saturday's off)

Job Responsibilities & General Duties:

The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the responsible manager to maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain the grounds of the Centre and Retail Park to a very high standard by performing the following duties:
  • Clear rubbish and leaves from shrub beds
  • Water dead head tubs and hanging baskets
  • Fortnightly grass cutting appropriately
  • Litter pick centre and retail park shrub beds and hedges
  • Maintenance and upkeep of shrub beds, trees, tubs, hanging baskets and upkeep of mowed areas
  • Weekly remove self sets
  • Weekly tree maintenance
  • Monthly hoe and weed beds
  • Pruning
  • Spraying
  • Weed and make tidy tree pockets in car parks
  • North Road bank maintenance
  • Carry out practical landscaping and grounds maintenance duties
  • Monthly maintenance of all climbing plants, make tidy and safe
  • Assist with the site Bio – Diversity requirements

Experience required for the role:

  • Proven experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance (essential)
  • Good knowledge of horticulture, hard and soft landscaping
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • PA1/PA6, first aid, or machinery tickets (an advantage)
  • Full UK driving licence

General Responsibilities:

  • Report anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person
  • Keep your working area and space clean and tidy at all times and your tools and equipment safely stored
  • Be familiar with the required care standards regulations governing your job
  • Maintain polite and good communication with your colleagues, tenants and shoppers at all times
  • Be prepared to receive and undertake further training as required
  • At all times to follow through any managerial instructions
