Role Purpose: As an experienced security professional, you will be accountable for the development and implementation of site security designs and plans to ensure the protection of all site personnel, property, and assets. To lead the contractual security provision, ensuring that security services are delivered in accordance with current regulations, legislation, and contractual requirements. Ensure that a culture of relationship management, team working, task ownership and accountability are implemented across the sites. Accountability for security procedures, periodic site security surveys and providing the site teams with relevant security advice as required, providing strategic and innovative solutions to ensure the protection of people, property, and assets. Responsibility for the management of compliance procedures in line with UK Company processes and policies. Be accountable for the cost-effective implementation of any planned security works within agreed timescales and on target, positively influence and build two-way relationships with all the key stakeholders and external suppliers. The role is a national role but homebased. You will be required to travel to sites throughout the UK as required, including overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic leadership of the security services scope on the account.
- Focal point for all Security related incidents/escalations, ensuring the incident management process is kept up to date and effectively utilised at all times.
- Lead security operations in compliance with all Statutory, Company, Legal and Contractual requirements.
- Work in partnership with UK colleagues, ensuring all aspects of Site Security, Health & Safety and Fire Prevention requirements are effectively managed.
- Ensure communications are effective and issues dealt with in a timely and effective manner.
- Lead the management of all external providers delivering Security services to the contract.
- Liaison with the client and customer security teams as required.
- Evaluate performance data through regular audits, recommend and implement remedial action plans as required.
- Ensure assignment instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and any other relevant Security Manuals are updated and maintained in response to incidents. Ensuring that all team members have read and signed to say they understand the requirements of the procedures.
- Fully understand the use of all IT systems and applications and to monitor the correct application of the EMCOR and client IT Security Policies.
- Administer the contractual Timegate system.
Essential Criteria:
- Level 5 or above in a recognised security qualification or substantial experience in similar sectors, i.e. law enforcement, HM Forces – CSMP, level 5 diploma in security management, MSc, BA honours would be an advantage.
- IOSH Managing safely.
- SIA Front Line Licences SG, DS.
- Be a full member of the security institute who is actively engaged with undertaking continual professional development.
- Be able to achieve BS7858 Vetting.
- Audit qualification would be beneficial.
Knowledge:
- Sound working knowledge of Performance Measurement Systems.
- Carrying out site security audits.
- Security risk analysis and compiling security survey reports.
- Understanding on information security ISO27001 and cyber security principles.
- Proven exposure to developing strategic security solutions, implementing, and delivering a first-class service.
- Financial and commercial management experience.
- Security open-source intelligent sources.
