Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, with occasional evening work
Travel: Sites may be up to 90–120 minutes from your location
We’re looking for a qualified Electrical Remedial Engineer to carry out work identified through fixed wire testing and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs). You’ll work closely with our Fixed Wire Testing team to make electrical installations safe and compliant, while delivering a professional service to customers.
The role may occasionally require night shifts, which are paid at the OT1 overtime rate.
What you’ll do
- Carry out remedial electrical work following fixed wire testing and EICRs. This may include distribution board replacements, partial rewires, accessory replacements, installing or upgrading containment, general upgrades and fault finding.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with current regulations and company standards.
- Complete accurate electrical certification and job reports.
- Work with the Fixed Wire Testing team to complete remedial tasks on time.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and customer service.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a qualified electrician who can work confidently on a range of remedial tasks, communicate clearly with customers and colleagues, and keep accurate records of your work. You’ll have:
- A recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent Level 3 electrical qualification, including AM2.
- A current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- A valid, in-date grading card, CSCS card or equivalent.
- Experience completing electrical certification.
- Strong IT, communication and organisational skills.
- A sound understanding of health and safety and industry best practice.
- A full UK driving licence.
Experience in electrical remedial works is desirable. IPAF and PASMA qualifications would also be an advantage.
