Purpose of the Role
Lead and manage client relationships, ensuring the successful delivery of facilities management services while maintaining profitability, driving operational improvements, and identifying opportunities for account growth. This role offers a clear progression path to Account Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage account performance, including P&L responsibility and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships using Key Account Management principles.
- Identify and secure opportunities for additional services, projects, and account growth.
- Lead, develop, and motivate operational and management teams.
- Ensure contractual obligations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to agreed standards.
- Oversee mobilisation, transition, and operational plans for new and existing services.
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, environmental, commercial, HR, and ethical standards.
- Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and customer value across the account.
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience managing complex Facilities Management (FM) or Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contracts with full P&L responsibility.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated success in growing accounts through new services and projects.
- Experience managing supply chains, subcontractors, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and contract management capability.
- Effective leadership, change management, and people development skills.
- Knowledge of both hard and soft FM services.
- Resilient, proactive, and customer-focused with excellent problem-solving abilities.
