About The Role:
This role is being offered on a 12 month FTC. Days of Working: Monday to Friday, travel may be required during the weekend to/from training course. Travel across London is required, overnight stays may be required. Travel/accommodation cost covered by the employer.
Working with the Court Security Director, Head of Security Operation, Training Coordinator, Operations management teams and wider OCS support functions to design and deliver effective practical learning and development solutions that are compliant with contract requirements and extend the operational and people skills within our business. Reporting directly to the Regional Senior Manager to ensure all staff are trained within a controlled contract specific training matrix that reflects the integrated management system. The Regional Trainer must have a training background (with preferred qualification e.g. Level 3 AET) and have hands on experience of training with an operational environment, ideally the security sector. You must also be willing to travel across London.
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:
- Foster effective and collaborative working relationships with the Court Security Director, Head of Security Operations, HRBP, Training Coordinator, Operations management teams and wider OCS Support functions including Learning and Development to ensure that all Training activity is identified, prioritised and compliant.
- Create, deliver and maintain the contract specific training materials whilst ensuring skill/learning gaps are catered for to ensure efficient operational delivery.
- Provide Regional Training delivery and support within the geographical and role remit.
- Consistently deliver any of the training courses offered as part of the “skills matrix” within the scope of the contract for all staff.
- Support the Learning & Development function to grow our Apprenticeship pipeline and enrolment, whilst also bringing new ideas that maximise opportunities and levy spend.
- Attend stakeholder meetings as required to update and inform on training activity within the contract.
- Liaise with Operational leads with regard specific training/Apprenticeship requirements for their business areas.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure appropriate sign off for internal produced training content & materials as necessary.
- Work with other L&D personnel across the business to ensure consistency.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including senior leadership teams to increase understanding of the need for and the benefits of the apprenticeship programme to maximise uptake of apprentices in line with overall strategy.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- UK Driving Licence.
- A recognised training qualification (e.g. Level 3 AET or CIPD or equivalent).
- First Aid instructor qualification desired not required.
- Enhanced Physical Intervention desired nor required.
- Able to evidence strong verbal and written skills.
- Ability to assimilate large amounts of data.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced “hands on” environment in a learning and development role.
- Previous experience of training design and delivery at operational and management level, ideally within an FM [Security] services environment.
- Experience of coordinating internal and external training resources to meet strategic objectives.
