About The Role:Work Pattern Not shift workAs Deputy Account Manager, you will support the Account Manager in delivering safe, efficient and high-quality facilities management services across the client’s property portfolio.You will oversee day-to-day operations, support engineering and operational teams, and help ensure services meet contractual requirements, service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). You will also deputise for the Account Manager when required, within agreed levels of responsibility.Working PatternNot shift work.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Account Manager in delivering planned and reactive maintenance, facilities management services and associated project works in line with contract requirements.Coordinate day-to-day activities across site-based and mobile teams, ensuring work is appropriately prioritised, resourced and completed to the required standard.Provide technical and operational support to direct reports, helping resolve service delivery issues and escalating significant risks.Monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs, identify shortfalls and support corrective actions.Undertake site inspections, quality checks and health and safety reviews, ensuring works follow agreed specifications, programmes, risk assessments and construction phase plans where applicable.Support the maintenance of accurate compliance records, asset information and maintenance documentation.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, subcontractors and other stakeholders.Attend client and operational meetings, prepare performance reports and follow up on agreed actions.Support the management of subcontractors, reviewing the quality, safety and timeliness of their work.Assist with budget monitoring, expenditure control and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising service quality.Support team development through regular communication, coaching, performance reviews and identifying training needs.Deputise for the Account Manager during periods of absence, maintaining operational continuity and effective client communication.Key Hiring CriteriaAn academic or professional qualification in an engineering discipline.Experience supervising or managing facilities management operations, including repairs and maintenance, hard services, soft services or project works.Experience leading a site-based or mobile operational team.A relevant health and safety qualification, such as IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS.A sound understanding of planned and reactive maintenance, contractor management and health and safety responsibilities.Experience monitoring service performance against contractual requirements, SLAs and KPIs.Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports and contribute to client meetings.Good organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and advanced Excel; experience using CAFM systems would be advantageous.Commercial awareness and an understanding of budget monitoring and cost control.About The Company:OCS UK & Ireland is a leading facilities management company with 50,000+ colleagues and a turnover in excess of 2bn.
