Monday to Sunday - 06:00am and 06:00am
Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off
Working Hours per Week are 42 hours
The main purpose of the role will be support the day to day running of UK Border Zone Assistants (UKBA)
team, ensuring that all roles are being carried out effectively, any issues dealt with or highlighted to
management and monitor the standards of current process. UKBA staff assist and guide all arriving
passengers to present themselves to the UK Border as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Key responsibilities:
- As a working Team Leader you will act as a support network for the Host team.
- Over-see the day-to-day operation, cover breaks and support during busy peak periods.
- Challenge poor performance and highlight issues or concerns to the Duty Manager.
- Build relationships with Border Force and meet daily on arrival with the duty HO (Higher Officer) to
discuss routine issues and understand any difficult patches expected. - Provide effective feedback to staff on performance, praise when a job is well done, be constructive if
you feel something could have been done different or better. - Be flexible with shifts for the needs of the business.
- Be confident and lead by example in all areas of the role.
- Plan breaks and communicate these to the team.
- Monitor H&S standards and ensure the Host sheets are regularly spot checked for accuracy.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- You must have Right to Work in the UK.
- A background in cleaning would be advantageous.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- To be of a pleasant nature and approachable
- To multitask and remain calm during busy periods
- Airport experience an advantage but not essential
- Basic IT skills
