About The Role:

OCS are seeking an autonomous, motivated Project Manager that can demonstrate a willingness to engage, coordinate and safely manage multiple trades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of cradle to grave Project Management - Delivery of Projects from conception through to completion.
  • Managing safely and enacting the role as Principal Contractor, compliance with CDM requirements, compilation of Construction Phased Plans, review and acceptance of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Programme and multiple trade activities to be coordinated, reported upon and administered.
  • Manage projects across multiple locations. Flexibility and mobility are key.
  • Liaising with the client/stakeholders and their teams, throughout all aspects of the project.
  • Developing on the client’s requirements to produce a project specific proposal.
  • Challenging the proposed scopes to offer improvement and betterment to OCS.
  • Managing project specific costs to meet the client budget and programme.
  • Maximising the return for OCS.
  • Achieving and exceeding the measurable KPI’s for this contract.
  • Ensure client satisfaction.

Essential Hiring Criteria:

  • Proven experience carrying out project delivery of this nature.
  • Demonstrable position as Project Manager or promising Project Engineer looking to advance.
  • Self-motivated person / ability to work on own initiative and recognise the need to ask and demonstrate the need for assistance and resource planning.
  • Deadline driven and committed to the same.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal.
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft suite of software, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint.

Personal Qualities:

  • Flexible approach to all work activities (travel between various UK locations).
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a pressurised environment, articulate in dynamic conversations with ability to steer conversations to suit objectives.
  • Excellent customer service skills / Professional manner.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and reliable.
  • Understanding of all legislative requirements that impact on the business and client activities and all employees.
