We are looking for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Engineer to provide planned and reactive maintenance across sites throughout Scotland and North East England.
You will take ownership of hard services maintenance, ensuring building systems and assets are maintained safely, efficiently and in line with statutory requirements and agreed SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Maintain and service building systems including pumps, AHUs, air conditioning, generators, lighting and power distribution.
- Complete statutory tasks including fire door inspections, fire alarm testing, water flushing, temperature checks and emergency lighting tests.
- Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and recommend remedial actions.
- Ensure work is completed safely and in line with legislation and OCS procedures.
- Manage and close work orders using the relevant CAFM system.
- Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately.
- Manage subcontractors and issue permits to work where required.
- Liaise professionally with customers, colleagues and site representatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, compliance and energy efficiency.
About You
You will have proven experience within Facilities Management or building services, with the ability to work independently across multiple sites.
You will also have:
- Experience delivering planned and reactive maintenance.
- Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of health, safety and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing subcontractors and permits to work.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Experience using CAFM systems.
- Flexibility to travel across Scotland and North East England.
- A full UK driving licence.
Additional Requirements
Regular travel across Scotland and North East England is required, along with participation in a 1 in 4 on-call rota covering Scottish sites.
