This is an exciting opportunity for an Energy Engineer who will perform a key role within the OCS Energy Services Division. The role will be fundamental to the delivery of energy services across the OCS business to help public and private sector clients achieve energy performance targets and net zero objectives.

In this role you will be required to support the delivery of a range of energy services with a focus on project development, investment grade proposals and feasibility studies to drive energy performance and projects within buildings and organisations. You will play a key role within the Energy Services team to deliver best in class energy performance and excellent customer service.

Main responsibilities:
  • Complete energy investment grade audits and detailed feasibility studies to identify energy efficiency and carbon transition projects and opportunities.
  • Carry out non-intrusive site audits to identify measures for savings such as lighting, HVAC, metering, fabric, central plant, infrastructure, and renewables.
  • Determine the potential carbon and energy savings, costs, and payback for energy measures with a focus on commercially viable project development.
  • Build energy efficiency and carbon management programmes and support their implementation.
  • Proactively support and promote OCS Energy Services across a range of clients.
  • Provide strategic support to Project Managers on M&E & Fabric project works, and complete post installation analysis on ROI and energy usage.
  • Support grant funding applications.
  • Ensure effective management of energy, carbon and utilities to meet client objectives and contractual requirements.
  • Provide management support for BMS and building analytic platforms.
  • Keep up to date and promote best in class energy optimisation and low carbon technologies, initiatives and legislation.
  • Promote exemplar energy and carbon management and provide advice and support to contract leads and clients for the continuous improvement of energy management practices and solutions.
  • As required produce energy and carbon reporting.
  • Support clients in maintaining compliance with energy and carbon legislation and reporting requirements.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in energy management.
  • Confident and experienced in energy investment grade auditing and completing feasibility studies.
  • Capable of preparing detailed energy efficiency and carbon reduction proposals.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering field.
  • Chartered Energy Manager or can demonstrate working towards this qualification or equivalent.
  • Customer focused, experience of operating within the Energy Services and/or Facilities Management industry.
  • Competent in benchmarking techniques and statistical analysis.
  • Detailed understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering systems not limited to heating, lighting, chiller, AHUs and building fabric services.
Hours and Environment:

This position will be a hybrid role from an OCS office or client site based in central England with the option of working from home on a regular basis. The role holder will be required to travel to other offices and client sites on a regular basis throughout the UK with a focus on central England and London. Core working hours for this position are 9am until 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
