OCS is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join our mobile engineering team. Experience working with air-conditioning or wider HVAC systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
Location: Mobile role covering Edinburgh, Midlothian, West Lothian and Fife
Salary: Based on experience
You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial properties, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant and fully operational.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on commercial gas and heating systems.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Service and maintain commercial boilers, burners, heating systems and associated plant.
- Complete statutory inspections and compliance-related works.
- Identify additional works and report risks or defects.
- Accurately record completed work using relevant job-management systems.
- Liaise professionally with customers, colleagues and subcontractors.
- Work in accordance with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- Participate in the on-call rota when required.
- Where suitably qualified and experienced, support maintenance and fault-finding on air-conditioning and HVAC equipment.
About you:
- Recognised qualification in commercial gas, heating or a related mechanical discipline.
- Current commercial gas qualifications.
- Proven experience maintaining commercial heating and gas systems.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently across a mobile portfolio.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Air-conditioning/HVAC experience would be advantageous.
- F-Gas qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
