The primary role of the Industrial Cleaning Operative is to ensure that the site facility and workplace is maintained to the client specification: “litter free, clean and tidy.” This will include supporting the day-to-day operation of the existing cleaning teams and the overall performance and delivery of the service.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 07:30am – 16:00pm (The successful candidate may also be required to support with additional industrial cleaning requirements at weekends).
Key Responsibilities:
- The Industrial Cleaning Operative is responsible for the site cleanliness.
- They may also be required to carry out ad-hoc works as directed by the Supervisor Facilities Management Team.
- Act as an advocate of good practice for the company.
- Adhere to safe working practices according to Health & Safety procedures.
- Work on own initiative and carry out lone working activities.
- Ensure areas of responsibility are always kept clean and are of a consistently high standard.
- Conduct all necessary daily maintenance and upkeep of plant machinery and tools.
- Respond efficiently to ad hoc requests.
- Any other duties as directed.
- Ensure regular attendance and punctuality, following the Company procedures for holidays and sickness.
- Meet Company expectations in relation to conduct and performance.
- Contribute to the delivery of the service requirement by carrying out any other related tasks as required.
- Ensure that cleaning equipment and machinery are used in the correct manner and cleaned after use.
- Report any defects immediately they are noticed.
- Check and ensure PPE is suitable and fit for purpose of the task and activities being conducted.
