About The Role:

Working Pattern: 4 on 4 off rolling roster of both days/nights

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • To assist and guide all arriving passengers ensuring they are processed through the correct channel depending on the document they possess or their port of last departure.
  • To assist all eligible passengers on the electronic passport gates or through to the referrals desk where passengers are refused on E passport gates.
  • To identify and guide all passengers that require assistance down the Assistance Lane to get them processed by the relevant UK Border Force Officer.
  • Manage the barriers in the uni-feed ensuring they are pulled at the appropriate times in order to maintain the flow to the queuing system.
  • Provide feedback on operational issues and processes to help improve performance.
  • Ensure that equipment provided is maintained, allocated and used correctly.
  • Be flexible with shifts as per the needs of the business.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • To be able to communicate with people at all levels.
  • To be of a pleasant nature and approachable.
  • To multitask and remain calm during busy periods of presentation.
  • Airport experience an advantage but not essential.
