The Business Partner is part of a focused team responsible for commercial and operational finance matters related to specific contracts in the Healthcare & Education sector.
Responsibilities
- Provide forecasts, month-end and monthly reports, and contribute to the commercial direction and development of PUFM and the delivery of the overall business plan/budget.
- Serve as the finance contact for External Auditors and ensure operational activities of contracts and new mobilisations are financially appraised.
- Act as the point of contact for the Operations Director, providing financial support and business analysis for the effective and profitable running of contracts.
- Provide finance training to Contract Managers and their teams.
- Participate in operations meetings as required by the Regional Operations Director.
- Prepare management accounts, liaise with Corporate Finance and Operations to ensure accuracy of contract accounts.
- Produce, analyze, and interpret timely and accurate key financial and non-financial reports and data.
- Complete monthly balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Conduct performance analysis related to contract performance, including margin optimisation.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance reports for contracts and assist with consolidation of BU budgets and forecasts to agreed deadlines.
- Analyze un-invoiced revenue and aged debtors to ensure compliance with internal revenue recognition rules.
- Act as the finance subject-matter expert for relevant contracts and develop strong working relationships with contract management teams and the wider BU.
Qualifications
- Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to communicate financial insights clearly.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems such as Dynamics and Power BI.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
