Operations / Trading Support Analyst in Oxford

Our client, a boutique investment manager, is looking to add a new hire to its Operations team. The firm has a strong track record and is continuing to grow following a successful year.

The role is based in Oxford, so the successful candidate will need to be comfortable either relocating or commuting daily.

Because the team is lean, this role offers unusually broad exposure and genuine responsibility from day one. You will sit within the Middle Office function and collaborate closely with multiple teams across the firm, including the investment team, giving you a deep understanding of how the business operates end-to-end.

The firm is highly tech-driven, using tools such as Python and VBA to automate and enhance processes. This makes the position an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop technical skills while working in a hands‑on, intellectually stimulating environment.

This opportunity would suit someone with a strong academic background – for example, a degree in Economics, Maths, Physics, Finance or similar from a leading university. Prior industry experience (hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, brokerage) is beneficial, though strong graduates will also be considered.

The base salary for this role is £35,000–£40,000, and it comes with the chance to gain rare exposure, fast responsibility, and a clear pathway to progression within a high-performing boutique setting.
