A London-based hedge fund is continuing to expand and is looking to hire an experienced Fund Accountant into its Finance team. The firm manages in excess of $1bn in AUM, operates a predominantly fixed income strategy, and has delivered strong, consistent performance in recent years, with further growth expected.

The role will report into a senior member of the Finance leadership team and offers broad exposure across the fund accounting function. It is well suited to someone looking to take on meaningful responsibility in a lean, high‑performing team and develop alongside a growing investment platform.

The Fund Accountant will be responsible for the day‑to‑day oversight of fund accounting activities and will work closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure the accurate and timely production of financial information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight and validation of daily P&L and fund activity, ensuring accuracy across portfolios
  • Production of shadow NAVs, including management and performance fee calculations
  • Review and reconciliation of administrator NAVs and fund financials
  • Monitoring fund cash balances, financing costs, and non‑trading expenses
  • Acting as a key point of contact for fund administrators, auditors and other service providers
Profile:
  • Experience in fund accounting within a hedge fund, asset manager, administrator or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, NAV production and fund financials
  • Exposure to fixed income / credit products preferred
  • High attention to detail with the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, growing environment
  • Comfortable working in a small team, with a hands‑on and proactive approach
