PURPOSE OF THE JOB
We are seeking a senior consultant leader to drive the growth and evolution of Ocorian’s regulatory and compliance consultancy services across our key jurisdictions. This role is central to delivering our commercial strategy, expanding our client base, and strengthening our technology‑enabled compliance solutions. You will lead the development of our compliance consulting proposition, with a particular focus on growing retainer income among smaller asset management firms and enhancing outsourced operational compliance support for larger clients. Working through a matrixed team structure, including direct reports and a Mauritius‑based shared services team, you will ensure high‑quality service delivery and scalable operational capability. A core part of the role is shaping and refining our product and service catalogue to align with the business line strategy and the wider Ocorian Group growth agenda. You will champion innovation, operational excellence, and client‑centric service design to position Ocorian as a market‑leading provider of regulatory and compliance solutions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and promote Ocorian’s compliance operations offering across key markets.
- Drive retainer revenue growth through strong pipeline development and client engagement.
- Own the Compliance Operations retainer revenue target, ensuring sufficient pipeline and conversions to maintain team utilisation across the operations team fee‑earners.
- Shape and deliver the go‑to‑market strategy for Compliance Operations services.
- Oversee prescribed roles services (MLRO, Deputy MLRO, CCO) to ensure consistent quality across jurisdictions.
- Line management of the London compliance operations team, and Guernsey, Luxembourg and Mauritius regulatory consulting prescribed roles services teams.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, prospects and intermediaries.
- Provide supportive leadership to multi‑location teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Ensure high‑quality client delivery, acting as the senior escalation point for complex issues.
- Champion the development and effective use of our compliance support technology platform.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service delivery and identify cross‑sell opportunities.
- Stay informed on developments in RegTech, FinTech and AI to strengthen our proposition.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Solid understanding of regulatory and risk frameworks for financial services, with practical consulting experience.
- Ability to build and lead effective teams across multiple jurisdictions in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
- Strong business development experience in the UK and at least one other key market (HK, Singapore, Channel Islands, US or UAE).
- Proven focus on delivering high‑quality client service and developing long‑term client relationships.
- A growth mindset, with curiosity, adaptability and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
- Naturally collaborative, working well across teams and sharing success openly.
