Purpose of the Job

To provide services across a varied portfolio of fund structures to ensure their ongoing compliance with the Alternative Fund Management Directive ("AIFMD") via three key service lines – cash monitoring; asset verification and oversight.

Main Responsibilities

  • To gather, assess and review the governing documents of client entities
  • Perform daily cash monitoring on client bank accounts
  • To verify (at the time of acquisition and on an ongoing basis) and maintain a register of the client’s financial and non-financial assets
  • To complete oversight of the client’s operations including reviews of procedures, controls and reporting to ensure that the funds operate in line with their governing documentation/investment guidelines
  • To review subscription agreements, call notices and distributions to ensure they are in line with the funds governing documentation and reflect the investor’s level of commitment
  • To develop professional relationships with intermediaries and clients with whom the post holder comes in to regular contact, and to demonstrate a willingness to apply high standards of client care to all dealings with intermediaries or clients
  • To produce quarterly and annual reports for clients detailing ongoing activities and compliance with AIFMD
  • And any other such duties that might be reasonably required for this role

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Good organisational and time management skills, applied to knowledge of the mechanics of depositary administration. An ability to take responsibility for the completion of work within the engagement while staying alert to potential issues that need to be disclosed to the Senior Manager
  • Professional manner, demonstrating good interpersonal skills and the ability to respond to clients’ needs. Also, an ability to communicate efficiently and in a manner suitable to the client or intermediary being addressed
  • Ability to review complex legal documents/financial statements, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Diligence and care in all aspects of the job, with the ability to collect data and keep accurate records
  • Problem solving – able to review the situation and determine an alternative course of action to achieve the desired goal
  • An interest in financial services/working within a regulated environment
  • Taking initiative and take ownership of client portfolio
  • To support the Group’s goals, and demonstrate the confidence to contribute ideas
  • To manage own workloads and clients’ priorities and to work to specific deadlines as agreed with the client
  • To produce work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • To ensure that records are maintained and updated regularly in the relevant Ocorian systems
