Purpose of the role: To provide financial controllership for Ocorian’s legal entities located in Ireland and Service companies for Jersey and UK. To ensure the finance team operates efficiently and effectively in line with Ocorian Group standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong financial control environment across Ireland, UK and Jersey.
- Complete regulatory, capital and statutory returns on time.
- Deliver timely month-end close and balance-sheet reconciliations for all entities.
- Oversee cash controls, cash repatriation and 13-week cash-flow forecasting.
- Work with credit control to ensure timely cash collection and appropriate bad-debt provisioning.
- Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies, IFRS and all statutory/tax obligations.
- Provide financial reporting to Boards of regulated entities.
- Manage local audits and support Group audit requirements.
- Coordinate with the Global Accounting Team in Mauritius to ensure timely invoicing, cash allocation and vendor payments.
- Work with HR to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with 3+ years’ PQE.
- Experience in financial control and preparing statutory financial statements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently within corporate policies.
- Experience working with external auditors; audit background preferred.
- Knowledge of IFRS and strong technical capability with commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills; effective in a global team.
- Thrives in dynamic environments, confidently managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality results.
- Confident communicator across all levels.
