Purpose of the role
Taking responsibility for the day‑to‑day administration of a portfolio of client funds and investment structures on Ocorian’s technology platform, working closely with your senior manager. Ensuring full adherence to Ocorian policies and procedures while liaising with the wider management team to support smooth business operations and deliver a professional, high‑quality service to clients.
Main Responsibilities
- Administration
- Manage client portfolios — Support the team in meeting the administration and accounting needs of a portfolio of funds and investment structures.
- Administer complex entities — Take ownership of more complex or high‑risk funds/entities, with team support as required.
- Monitor and manage risk — Ensure all Risk/Review procedures are followed, maintain awareness of regulatory requirements, and elevate high‑risk matters promptly to senior management.
- Support client relationships — Assist team members and management with client matters and attend meetings with clients and advisers.
- Oversee utilisation and billing — Manage team utilisation, billing, and aged debt effectively.
- Ensure continuity during absences — Brief Senior Managers/Directors on upcoming activities and ensure adequate resourcing to maintain service levels.
- Act as authorised signatory — Sign in accordance with Ocorian policies and procedures.
- General Management
- Contribute to management decisions — Participate in management meetings and implement agreed actions.
- Support business development — Identify new business opportunities and coordinate allocation of new work to appropriately skilled team members.
- Lead improvement projects — Take an active role in initiatives that enhance client delivery and operational efficiency.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in funds, trust, and company administration.
- Strong technical knowledge of fund/trust administration, Jersey Company Law, and tax considerations.
- Strong IT capability.
- Effective staff management with the ability to motivate and lead teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Solution‑focused approach to problem‑solving.
- Strong decision‑making within corporate policies.
- Excellent time management and organisation.
