Intermediate and Senior Electrical Design Engineer s to join its growing Building Services team

Role As part of an integrated multi-disciplinary project team, you will be involved in the design and delivery of electrical systems for a wide range of building projects.

Opportunities are available at both Intermediate and Senior level, with responsibilities aligned to your experie nce.

Requirements

Intermediate

  • Third level qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience, ideally within a building services design consultancy.
  • Previous UK or Ireland project experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of current Design Guides, Building Regulations, EN Standards and IEC Standards.
  • Proficiency in Auto CAD, with Revit/BIM experience preferred.
  • Proactive with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Senior Electrical Design Engineer
  • Third level qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • 7+ years' relevant experience, ideally within a building services design consultancy.
  • Strong technical ability across all aspects of Electrical Building Services Design.
  • Previous UK or Ireland project experience.
  • Knowledge of current Design Guides, Building Regulations, EN Standards and IEC Standards.
  • Experience using Dialux and Amtech.
  • Experience liaising with clients, contractors and vendors.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Intermediate
  • Assist with the design of electrical building services systems.
  • Carry out lighting calculations, cable sizing and other electrical design calculations.
  • Produce drawings using Auto CAD and Revit/BIM.
  • Prepare technical specifications and reports.
  • Attend site visits, inspections and assist with troubleshooting to ensure design compliance.
  • Senior
  • Lead the design and specification of electrical engineering solutions for building projects.
  • Work directly with clients and multidisciplinary project teams to develop technical solutions.
  • Lead pre-construction activities including design development, services coordination, technical submittals and subcontractor coordination.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers.
  • Provide technical support to estimating, procurement, commercial and project delivery teams.
  • Support construction teams throughout project delivery.
