OCM Consulting is expanding, and we are seeking talented Quantity Surveyors to join our dynamic team. This is a rare opportunity to gain exposure working with a diverse range of Civil Engineering Contractors and contribute to a variety of projects. Tired of the rigid corporate environment? At OCM Consulting, we provide a range of Quantity Surveying services to a growing portfolio of Civil Engineering Contractors. You’ll collaborate on projects of varying scale and complexity, contributing to a team and managing the commercial aspects throughout. The Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in overseeing the commercial function of projects and will report directly to the Lead Quantity Surveyor.
Responsibilities- Site measurement, including take-off, valuations, and cost analysis
- Change management and programme adjustments
- Applications for payment and final account settlements
- Material quantifying and scheduling
- Attending progress and account meetings
- Managing contractor supply chain documentation requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within Civil Engineering in the UK
- Working knowledge of contract forms, including NEC3/4
- Qualified to at least HNC standard and CSCS Card required
- Ability to take initiative and adapt to challenges
- Available to work from site 2–3 days a week; clean driver’s license required
- Self-motivated with strong teamwork skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
