The Role:
This is a hands-on technical support role within a specialist telecom team, covering the full spectrum of support complexity from routine requests through to complex escalations. You will own tickets end-to-end, engage directly with carriers and suppliers, and work closely with Engineering and Sales colleagues to deliver strong customer outcomes. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys varied, technical work, takes pride in diagnosing faults thoroughly, and wants consistent exposure to modern UCaaS and connectivity platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and resolve telecom support tickets end-to-end, from routine requests through to complex technical escalations.
- Diagnose and resolve hosted telephony, UCaaS, and data connectivity faults across Gamma Horizon, LG iPECS, Cisco Webex, and Microsoft Teams Calling.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, firewalls, switches, and local network infrastructure for business clients.
- Diagnose broadband, FTTP, SIP trunk, and connectivity faults, managing incidents through to full resolution.
- Escalate and manage supplier and carrier incidents with partners including Gamma, Openreach, and Viatel.
- Maintain accurate ticket records and technical documentation within CRM and support systems.
- Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to colleagues across the support team.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Sales to deliver successful outcomes for customers.
What You'll Need:
- 2 to 3 years' experience in a telecom support or technical engineering role within a telecoms or communications provider.
- Hands-on experience with UCaaS and hosted telephony platforms such as Gamma Horizon, Microsoft Teams Calling, LG iPECS, Cisco Webex, or SIP.
- Experience supporting data connectivity products including broadband, FTTP, Ethernet, and SIP trunks.
- Solid networking fundamentals covering TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
- Confident configuring and troubleshooting routers and diagnosing connectivity issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to translate technical detail clearly for customers and colleagues.
Desirable / Nice to Have:
- Experience with DrayTek, TP-Link, or Ubiquiti networking equipment.
- Carrier and supplier escalation experience with Gamma, Openreach, or Viatel.
- Microsoft 365 administration knowledge.
