I’m working with a fast-growing, remote-first digital consultancy to hire a Senior UI Engineer. You’ll design and build high-quality, performant, and accessible web interfaces across client projects and internal products. Working closely with UX designers, visual designers, and back-end engineers, you’ll ensure polished, cohesive user experiences. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring others, shaping front-end architecture, and taking ownership of complex UI challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build responsive, mobile-first interfaces using HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
- Develop and maintain production-grade React and Next.js applications, including SSR and reusable component libraries
- Ensure consistent design implementation and brand adherence
- Optimise performance, scalability, and accessibility of web pages
- Write clean, testable code and maintain front-end test suites (Jest)
- Translate UX designs into production-ready UI using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
- Collaborate with back-end teams to integrate APIs (REST/GraphQL)
- Communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React, Next.js
- Experience building reusable component libraries and SSR applications
- Understanding of responsive, adaptive, and mobile-first design
- Familiarity with Figma or Adobe XD
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience with Webpack, Babel, accessibility standards, design systems, and SEO for front-end
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams
