I’m working with a fast-growing, remote-first digital consultancy to hire a Senior UI Engineer. You’ll design and build high-quality, performant, and accessible web interfaces across client projects and internal products. Working closely with UX designers, visual designers, and back-end engineers, you’ll ensure polished, cohesive user experiences. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring others, shaping front-end architecture, and taking ownership of complex UI challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build responsive, mobile-first interfaces using HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
  • Develop and maintain production-grade React and Next.js applications, including SSR and reusable component libraries
  • Ensure consistent design implementation and brand adherence
  • Optimise performance, scalability, and accessibility of web pages
  • Write clean, testable code and maintain front-end test suites (Jest)
  • Translate UX designs into production-ready UI using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
  • Collaborate with back-end teams to integrate APIs (REST/GraphQL)
  • Communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React, Next.js
  • Experience building reusable component libraries and SSR applications
  • Understanding of responsive, adaptive, and mobile-first design
  • Familiarity with Figma or Adobe XD
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with Webpack, Babel, accessibility standards, design systems, and SEO for front-end
  • Experience working in cross-functional product teams
