Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Java, AWS) Location: Belfast (Remote first) About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java and AWS to join our client's development team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and enhance their applications and services on AWS. This is an incredible company with a large presence in the Belfast tech market that Ocho are delighted to be partnered with. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain back-end services using Java. Build and manage scalable and efficient solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and more. Collaborate with DevOps to enhance CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployments. Participate in architecture and design discussions to drive high-quality solutions. Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across the team. Qualifications: 5+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on Java. Solid experience with AWS services and cloud-native development. Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
