The Role
I am looking for a Senior Mobile Network Engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of my clients network infrastructure. You will manage mobile core platforms, support infrastructure, and ensure high availability and performance. You will also drive expansion projects, integrate new partners, and mentor junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of Mobile Core (HLR/HSS, STP/DRA, PGW, IMS) and connectivity management platforms.
- Manage network infrastructure, including switching, routing, and data center operations.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve issues.
- Drive expansion projects and partner integrations.
- Troubleshoot network-related issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory standards.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintaining mobile or telecom networks in a mission-critical environment.
- Strong knowledge of telecom protocols (SS7, GTP, Diameter, MAP, CAMEL, etc.).
- Experience with network monitoring tools and automation (Grafana, SNMP, Syslog).
- Understanding of core network protocols (IPv4, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and vendors like Cisco, Fortinet.
- Linux (Ubuntu, HAProxy) and Microsoft (IIS, MS-SQL) server administration.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform) is a plus.
- Scripting/coding skills (PowerShell, Bash, C#/.Net) are beneficial.
- Security experience with firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to be on-call and travel to data center locations.
