Overview: Ocho is working on behalf of a client with a progressive team in Newry who are in the middle of a major data transformation. They are building out a modern data capability and are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in shaping their future platform. This position offers strong exposure to modern tooling, including Microsoft Fabric, alongside the opportunity to influence data strategy and architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL processes across the data platform
- Develop and deliver end-to-end Power BI reporting solutions for business users
- Use Power Apps to create applications that streamline and automate internal processes
- Contribute to the adoption of Microsoft Fabric and support the evolution of the data platform
- Work closely with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, accessible data
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers within the team
Person We Are Looking For:
- Strong experience working as a Data Engineer within a Microsoft ecosystem
- Proven expertise in Power BI and Power Apps
- Solid understanding of data modelling, DAX, and M query
- Experience working with SQL, Azure Data Services, and cloud-based data platforms
- Comfortable contributing to discussions around data architecture and platform strategy
