My client is the world's largest inter-dealer broker, connecting financial institutions across fixed income, FX, equities and commodities. Their Belfast engineering hub sits within a global technology function working on platforms that underpin some of the most complex financial markets on the planet. This is serious engineering at real scale.
They are looking for a Principal UI Engineer to sit at the top of their front-end stack - someone who sets direction, owns architecture and makes the engineers around them better. They are open to strong Senior Engineers ready to make that step up.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading UI architecture and engineering standards across a complex, high-scale financial platform
- Driving delivery of ambitious front-end features from design through to production
- Setting patterns, tooling and best practices that the wider engineering team works to
- Collaborating closely with product, design and back-end engineers to ship cohesive, high-quality experiences
- Mentoring and developing senior engineers around you
- Contributing to technical strategy and acting as a voice for front-end craft at leadership level

- Deep expertise in React, with a strong understanding of performance, architecture and modern front-end engineering at scale
- Solid experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure
