Ocho People are proud to be partnering with our client — a fast-growing US payments business — to find a Principal Network Engineer to join their world-class infrastructure team.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a true network specialist who thrives in complex, security-driven environments. You’ll be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining a next-generation global network spanning multiple data centres and cloud environments.
What You’ll Bring
- Deep, hands‑on CLI experience — confident managing and committing complex changes via CLI (not just GUI).
- Strong understanding of why Palo Alto behaves as it does, not just how.
- Experience with Advanced Routing Engine, Threat Prevention, Wildfire, URL Filtering.
- Solid grasp of best‑practice configurations for scalable and secure deployments.
- Panorama experience is highly desirable.
- Prisma Access experience preferred (not mandatory).
- Exposure to other Palo Alto products (Prisma Cloud, Cortex XSOAR) a plus.
- Primary: QFX Series switches, MX Series routers, Apstra.
- Secondary (nice to have): EX, SRX, Mist.
- Proven experience with EVPN/VXLAN/BGP in large‑scale enterprise or service provider environments.
- Deep understanding of advanced routing and switching architectures.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multi‑vendor environments.
- Strong design documentation and implementation planning capabilities.
