An award-winning trading and data infrastructure company is hiring a UI Engineer in Belfast. You'll design, build, and test highly performant front-ends using modern TypeScript, React, and in a collaborative Agile environment. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams - designers, QAs, BAs, and back-end developers - to build user interfaces that solve real business problems at scale. Strong attention to detail, TDD skills, and a passion for quality user experiences are key.

What You'll Do:
- Build and maintain web UIs with TypeScript, React, and use contract-first and test-first approaches (integration & unit tests)
- Work with Figma to wireframe and prototype interfaces
- Contribute to a mono-repo setup (NX / yarn workspaces)
- Collaborate across disciplines to refine features and improve UX
- Support an Agile, quality-first delivery culture
- Document components, decisions, and workflows
Your Skills & Experience:
Must-Have:
- 3+ years' commercial experience building web apps
- Strong React functional component knowledge
- Solid experience with integration/unit testing for UI
- Comfortable with Figma or similar wireframing tools
- Knowledge of contract-first or API-driven UI design
- Agile mindset and ability to work across the SDLC
- Familiarity with mono-repo tooling (NX, Yarn workspaces)
Nice-to-Have:
- Isomorphic framework experience
- Understanding of UX/accessibility principles
- Knowledge of AWS
- Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and good CSS fundamentals
- Comfortable using Git and JIRA
- Collaborative, T-shaped engineer who supports others' growth
