This is a brilliant opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a busy and collaborative finance team. You will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process and play a key role in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts to tight deadlines
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Post journals and maintain the integrity of the general ledger
  • Assist with VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements
  • Produce financial reports and commentary for senior stakeholders
  • Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function
  • Work closely with budget holders across the business to provide financial insight
What You'll Need:
  • Essential: Solid experience in a management accounts or similar finance role
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software
  • Ability to work to month-end deadlines with a high level of accuracy
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical skills
  • Confident communicator - able to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Nice to Have: Part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar
  • Exposure to budgeting and forecasting in a commercial environment
