Key finance partner to operations and senior leadership across a major group in a manufacturing environment with multi-site, multi-entity scope.

Qualified or part-qualified: ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.

Attractive package, pension, healthcare and staff discount.

This is a well-established business with a strong presence across Northern Ireland, UK and the Republic of Ireland. Operating across multiple locations with over 400 employees, the group has built a strong reputation over many years, underpinned by expert knowledge, strong customer relationships and a consistent commitment to quality. The business operates across several divisions and continues to grow, both organically and through acquisition.

This role sits at the heart of one of those divisions and offers a genuine opportunity to be at the centre of how finance drives commercial performance across a business that is ambitious about its future.

This is not a backroom finance role. This is a commercially focused position for a Management Accountant who wants to use numbers to inform decisions, drive profitability and shape the direction of a growing manufacturing operation. You will own the full management accounting function for multiple departments within the group. That means producing the numbers, but also interpreting them, challenging performance and presenting clear financial insight to operational and senior stakeholders who will act on what you tell them.

From cost accounting and variance analysis through to budgeting, forecasting and business planning, you will be the finance voice in operational conversations. You will work closely with sales and operations, turning financial data into clear commercial narratives that drive better decisions and support the growth agenda of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable insight for senior leadership and operational managers.
  • Be the finance partner who shapes decisions, not just records them.
  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Deliver commentary that explains performance and highlights opportunity.
  • Own cost accounting across raw materials, labour and overheads.
  • Lead month-end stock takes, reconciliations and valuations across the manufacturing operation.
  • Analyse the gap between standard and actual costs.
  • Identify waste, inefficiency and profitability opportunities and present findings in a way that drives operational change.
  • Manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Ensure leadership has the financial visibility they need to plan and make decisions with confidence.
  • Work directly with sales and operations teams to enhance reporting and provide financial data that non-finance managers can understand and act on.
  • Ensure financial controls are robust and audit requirements are met across the divisions you support.

What You'll Need:

Essential:

  • Qualified accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis and cost control.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present financial insight to non-finance stakeholders and influence decisions.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a growing, changing business and can work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Full driving licence valid for use in the UK and access to a car.

Desirable:

  • Experience working across multiple entities or divisions within a group structure.

Why Apply:

  • Real commercial influence in a growing, diversified group.
  • Visibility at senior leadership level from day one.
  • Varied scope across manufacturing, operations and group finance.
  • Attractive remuneration package.
  • Genuine career development opportunity within a well-established group.
