  • Acting as the network engineering liaison to Engineering, Architecture, InfoSec, and Production Support teams
  • Ensuring availability, performance, and operational integrity across the network domain
  • Contributing to disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Developing technical documentation, engineering drawings, and written procedures
  • Championing change management and configuration standards across the organisation
  • Coordinating vendor relationships and appliance or software upgrades as required

What we are looking for

  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto solutions
  • Strong working knowledge of Layer 2, 3, 4, and 7 switching, routing, and application delivery technologies
  • Solid understanding of core networking protocols and technologies including routing, switching, IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, QoS, VLAN, VXLAN, and BGP
  • Experience with VPN and wireless access point configuration and management
  • Scripting capability in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools for performance visibility and forensic investigation
  • Experience with network security practices including certificate management
  • Clear communicator, able to work effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable driving results independently

Additional experience that would be welcome

  • Automation and Infrastructure as Code experience, for example Ansible or Terraform
  • Juniper Networks experience
  • AWS or Azure cloud networking experience
  • Relevant certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, JNCIA, JNCIS, or equivalent
