The Opportunity

Not every Front-End role is about moving buttons around a screen. Some roles give you the chance to influence how an entire product feels, how customers interact with it, and how engineering teams think about user experience. This is one of those roles. Ocho is partnering with a well-established SaaS business whose products are used by thousands of organisations across the UK and Ireland. Their engineering team is growing, and they're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who combines strong technical ability with a genuine appreciation for great UX and product design. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and design stakeholders to build modern applications that don't just function well but are enjoyable to use.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building and delivering production applications using Blazor, C# and .NET
  • Taking ownership of features from concept through to deployment
  • Helping shape front-end architecture, design patterns, and component libraries
  • Making informed UX decisions that improve customer experience
  • Collaborating with product teams to translate requirements into intuitive solutions
  • Contributing across the full stack where required
  • Mentoring engineers and helping raise front-end engineering standards across the team
  • Driving improvements in code quality, testing, deployment, and engineering practices

Essential

  • Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET
  • Front-end experience with Blazor, or strong experience in React, Vue, or Angular
  • A genuine eye for UX and product design
  • Strong SQL and database experience
  • Experience working with Azure and modern CI/CD practices
  • Proven experience mentoring engineers
  • Ability to think beyond implementation and contribute to architectural decisions
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience

Nice To Have

  • Experience owning UX decisions within a product environment
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
  • Experience with Figma or design tooling
  • Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
