A well-established group operating across financial and professional services, currently undergoing a significant period of strategic change to support its ambitions for growth, innovation and financial capacity. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of the Group's strategic change agenda. You will chair the Group's central change governance forum, hold accountability for a portfolio of high-profile strategic projects, and provide direction and oversight to the wider change team. The role requires someone who can balance long-term strategic priorities with the immediate, practical needs of the individual businesses within the Group, while building a culture where change is embraced rather than resisted.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the definition, management and delivery of the strategic change programme
  • Work closely with senior leadership to define change objectives, build stakeholder buy-in, and ensure consistent delivery across the Group's businesses
  • Build and embed a culture of change readiness and adaptability across the organisation
  • Develop and mature the PMO framework and function, driving consistent, high-quality project delivery
  • Monitor the effectiveness of change initiatives, adjusting approach as needed and staying current with emerging change management practice
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of change management professionals
  • Identify risks to successful change delivery and build effective mitigation plans
  • Own and manage allocated budgets tightly and effectively

What You'll Need

Essential:

  • Significant experience as a senior change leader
  • Proven ability to lead delivery of a complex, multi-stream change portfolio
  • Strong grounding in recognised project methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or similar)
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing significant budgets and commercials
  • Track record of building, evolving and running a PMO framework, including governance models and budgetary control
  • Excellent leadership, influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, comfortable engaging C-suite audiences on complex topics
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, complex and compliance-driven environment
