A well-established and rapidly growing firm with a significant and expanding international service line. This firm is investing heavily in the growth of its tax advisory function and is building out specialist capability to meet increasing client demand across transactions and cross-border work.
This is a technically stretching advisory role sitting within the firm's Employer Solutions team, with a specific focus on employment tax issues arising in a transactions context. You will work with a broad client base ranging from large corporates to owner-managed and private equity backed businesses, advising on the employment tax implications of complex transactions while also supporting the wider employer solutions offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on employment tax issues arising in sell-side and buy-side transactions, including tax due diligence reports.
- Design and implement equity reward and share option plans including EMI schemes, CSOP plans and growth shares.
- Advise on PAYE compliance, BIK treatment, P11Ds, PSAs and year-end reporting obligations.
- Support clients on off-payroll working, IR35, employment status and intermediary legislation.
- Advise on cross-border compliance obligations and internationally mobile employee matters including A1 applications.
- Assist with HMRC disclosures, employer compliance reviews and employment tax risk assessments.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships, managing compliance delivery on time and on budget.
- Contribute to business development activity and participate in pitches across the wider tax team.
What You'll Need:
Essential:
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Manager level experience within a large firm (ideally Big 4).
- Solid employment tax technical knowledge.
- Demonstrable exposure to the transactions side of employment tax work.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
Desirable:
- CTA qualified or working towards it.
- Experience advising private equity backed or owner-managed businesses.
