Full ownership of a major divisional P&L. Office-based in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone. Salary £45,000 - £50,000. Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-3:45pm.

THE ROLE

This is a senior finance position with full accountability for the accounting function of the organisation's largest operating division. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee end-to-end financial management including management accounts, reporting, controls and compliance. You will work in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment and play a key role in the financial performance and strategic direction of the division. The role offers genuine breadth from technical accounting through to business partnering with senior stakeholders and suits a qualified accountant who thrives on ownership and variety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and interpret monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and delivery within agreed deadlines.
  • Manage all year-end activities and oversee VAT return preparation and submission.
  • Oversee general accounting operations including sales and purchase ledger, multi-currency bank reconciliations and credit control.
  • Monitor and manage cashflow, foreign exchange exposure and stock accounting.
  • Design, implement and maintain robust financial controls and best practice procedures.
  • Prepare monthly management reports including divisional KPIs, variance analysis and commentary.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with senior management.
  • Supervise and support junior members of the finance team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualified experience in practice or industry.
  • Proven experience preparing management accounts and handling month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Working knowledge of multi-currency accounting environments.
  • Proficiency in Sage 200 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communicator with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and comfortable working to tight deadlines with a degree of autonomy.
  • Full right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of tax compliance in a commercial environment.
