The Role:

  • A varied tax compliance and supervision role sitting within a busy and growing tax team.
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, support the delivery of Making Tax Digital and play an active role in training and developing junior team members.
  • There is also scope to get involved in ad hoc advisory work alongside the Tax Partner.
  • Take ownership of a varied personal tax portfolio, managing client relationships and ensuring accurate and timely submission of returns.
  • Oversee corporation tax compliance across a range of business clients, reviewing work to the highest technical standard.
  • Play an active role in the firm's digital transformation agenda, supporting clients through the transition to Making Tax Digital.
  • Provide VAT compliance support including health checks, registrations and ongoing advisory as required.
  • Oversee the delivery of payroll services to a defined client base, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, reviewing their work and building their technical capability.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on tax advisory projects, gaining exposure to a broader range of client work beyond compliance.

What You'll Need:

  • Essential: ATT qualified or working towards CTA. Experience working in a tax department within a practice environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Enthusiastic, proactive and a strong team player.
  • Desirable: Experience with cloud-based accounting and tax software. Making Tax Digital experience.
