The Role
This is a Tax Manager position within a well-regarded and expanding tax team, covering a genuinely mixed portfolio of personal and corporate tax work across a broad range of client types and sectors. You will take ownership of your client relationships, manage a varied and interesting caseload and play an active role in developing the junior members of the team around you. This is a role for a technically strong, commercially aware tax professional who thrives on variety and wants to work in an environment where their contribution is recognised and rewarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a mixed portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients from start to finish.
- Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns for a range of entities.
- Advise on and manage personal tax compliance including self-assessment returns for high net worth individuals, directors and sole traders.
- Provide planning and advisory support across a range of tax specialisms including capital gains, inheritance tax, property taxation and employment taxes.
- Support clients on VAT matters, PAYE compliance and other indirect tax issues.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor across all tax matters.
- Mentor, coach and review the work of junior and intermediate tax staff.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the existing client base and beyond.
What You'll Need
Essential:
- CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Broad mixed tax experience across personal and corporate tax at Manager or Senior level.
- Strong technical knowledge spanning multiple tax specialisms including CGT, IHT, VAT and employment taxes.
- Confident managing client relationships independently and communicating complex tax issues clearly.
- Right to work in Northern Ireland.
Desirable:
- Experience in a mid-tier or regional accountancy practice.
- Exposure to tax advisory and planning work beyond compliance.
- Experience mentoring or reviewing junior staff.
