We’re partnering with a Belfast-based product company that needs a Tech Lead level .NET contractor to help drive delivery on a core platform used across the business. This is a hands-on role with real technical ownership, contributing to both day-to-day development and higher-level architectural decisions. You’ll work closely with product, engineering and cloud teams, helping shape solutions while still spending plenty of time in the codebase. The environment suits someone comfortable balancing delivery with technical leadership in a fast-moving product setting.
The Role
You’ll take responsibility for designing and delivering scalable services using modern .NET and Azure, guiding technical direction within the team and supporting other engineers through complex problem solving. Expect involvement in system design discussions, cloud architecture decisions, and improving existing pipelines and platform capabilities. You’ll also contribute to best practice around testing, deployment, observability and performance, ensuring solutions are production-ready and future-proofed.
Tech Environment
- Cloud-native and microservices patterns
- Data integration and platform services
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) is a strong bonus, particularly around data movement, orchestration and integration patterns.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong commercial experience as a senior or lead .NET developer
- Very strong Azure experience in real production environments
- Comfortable owning technical decisions and contributing to architecture
- Background in product-led engineering teams
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across disciplines
- ADF experience is highly desirable but not essential
