Ocho is partnering with a globally recognised consulting and technology organisation as they continue to expand their Data & AI capability within Belfast. This is a senior leadership role focused on delivering large-scale cloud and data transformation programmes for enterprise Financial Services clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping a growing Data Engineering practice, leading both technical delivery and team growth across complex, business-critical engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale Databricks solutions
  • Design and optimise scalable cloud-native data platforms and pipelines
  • Drive migration programmes from legacy systems into modern data ecosystems
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring across engineering teams
  • Collaborate with clients to define data strategy and transformation roadmaps
  • Establish best practices across governance, lineage, security and performance optimisation
  • Support advanced analytics, AI and real-time data initiatives
  • Work across multiple high-profile transformation programmes simultaneously

Person We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale Databricks transformation projects
  • Strong Financial Services or enterprise consulting background
  • Deep expertise across Azure, Spark, Delta Lake and modern data engineering practices
  • Experience building and leading high-performing technical teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to lead complex technical discussions with both engineering and business stakeholders
  • Passion for emerging technologies, AI and cloud-native platforms

Desirable Experience:

  • Databricks certifications
  • Consulting or advisory experience within enterprise environments
  • Exposure to machine learning, predictive analytics or AI-driven platforms
  • Experience with data governance and regulatory frameworks
