Our client, a Global technology-led organisation with a major engineering presence in Belfast, is now expanding its high-performing Cloud Engineering team. Operating as a centre of excellence within a global technology function, the Belfast team delivers critical infrastructure supporting a large-scale, high-traffic, multi-regional platform. This is a senior-level role suited to an experienced Cloud/DevOps Engineer who thrives on ownership, autonomy, and solving complex infrastructure challenges.

The Role:

  • You'll join a small, senior Cloud Engineering team supporting ~90 engineers globally.
  • Multi-region AWS architecture (US East & US West)
  • Kubernetes platform management and upgrades
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Networking, VPC design and platform architecture
  • CDN and performance optimisation projects
  • Cloud tooling evaluation and proof-of-concepts

You'll be trusted to lead projects, influence architectural decisions and operate with a high degree of autonomy.

Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in Cloud / DevOps Engineering
  • Strong AWS and Terraform experience
  • Hands-on Kubernetes knowledge
  • Solid understanding of networking, VPCs and infrastructure design
  • Development mindset (JavaScript preferred, Python beneficial)
  • Comfortable owning and leading infrastructure projects
  • Strong communicator who can explain the 'why' behind technical decisions

Working Model:

  • Hybrid / remote-first environment
  • Belfast office available (no mandated days)
  • On-call rota approx. once every 10 weeks (incidents rare)
