Join a growing tax technology company at the centre of Pillar Two, the biggest global tax change in a generation. This is a client facing delivery role blending stakeholder management with hands-on technical implementation (SQL). Hybrid working from Belfast, 3 days per week in the office.
About the Company
Our client is an established technology company that helps large multinational organisations meet complex global tax and regulatory reporting obligations. Their platform sits at the heart of Pillar Two compliance, a new worldwide tax regime that has created a significant and growing book of work across their client base. With offices in Belfast and London, they combine deep domain expertise with modern technology, and they invest properly in developing their people.
The Role
This is a client facing delivery role within the team responsible for implementing the company's platform for major multinational clients. You will work directly with clients to understand their requirements, challenge them constructively where something does not add up, and translate what they need into technical implementations on the platform. The technology side is deliberately accessible; the SQL involved is not complex, and full training is provided. What matters most is the combination of strong client skills, curiosity, and the confidence to pick up new tools quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of client implementations from requirements through to completion.
- Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders at large multinational clients.
- Gather and interrogate client requirements, challenging assumptions where they do not make sense.
- Translate client requirements into technical implementations on the platform.
- Write and maintain SQL to support client configurations and data workflows.
- Collaborate with tax, product, and engineering colleagues to resolve client issues.
- Develop your knowledge of Pillar Two and global compliance reporting through hands-on client work.
- Contribute to improving delivery processes as the team scales.
What You'll Need
Essential:
- Proven experience in a client facing delivery, consulting, or implementation role.
- Evidence of delivering some form of technical implementation for clients.
- Foundational knowledge of tax and accounting, whether from working in or around the space or from formal study.
- Willingness to learn new tools and write basic SQL (prior SQL experience helpful but not essential).
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to push back on clients constructively.
- Based in or able to commute to Belfast 3 days per week.
Desirable / Nice to Have:
- Experience at a Big Four or other professional services firm.
- Exposure to Pillar Two, corporate tax, or statutory reporting.
- Hands-on SQL experience in a commercial setting.
Why Apply?
- Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience.
- Hybrid working, 3 days per week in a central Belfast office.
- Work at the forefront of Pillar Two, a genuinely new global tax regime, with skills that are scarce and in demand.
- Full training provided, with a proven track record of developing people from little or no tax background.
- Multiple openings and a growing team, giving real flexibility on seniority and clear room to progress.
- Exposure to major multinational clients from day one.
