Staff Application Security Engineer | Belfast
We're working with a leading global SaaS business to find a Staff Application Security Engineer based in Belfast. This is the security lead for Belfast and the wider UK region, a high-influence position partnering directly with Principal Engineers to shape technical direction and embed security across the engineering organisation.
You’ll bridge the gap between security and engineering, driving secure‑by‑default architectures, owning the secrets management programme, and working closely with pen test vendors to validate and remediate vulnerabilities across the application estate.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years hands‑on AppSec experience including secure code review, threat modelling, and SAST/DAST tooling
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash or Go with CI/CD and DevSecOps experience
- OWASP Top 10 expertise with the ability to architect remediation solutions
- Track record of mentoring senior engineers and influencing across global teams
