They are seeking a Production Support Team Lead to drive service excellence and operational agility within their Belfast office. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering the chance to shape a high-performing team and act as the local escalation point for critical production issues.
What Youll Do:
- Lead and manage Belfast-based Level 2 support resources within a global production function.
- Oversee installations, bug fixes, upgrades, and enhancements across trading applications.
- Manage Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes while monitoring application performance.
- Act as the escalation point for complex production issues and collaborate with EMEA/US teams.
- Develop automation scripts (Shell, Perl, PowerShell, Python, SQL) for installation, monitoring, and health checks.
- Produce clear documentation including runbooks and troubleshooting guides.
- Lead major incidents and projects, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Monitor team KPIs, support professional development, and drive operational efficiency.
Experience:
- Proven experience managing Level 2 Production Support teams.
- Strong technical expertise in Windows Server, Unix/Linux, SQL, networking tools, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Perl).
- Familiarity with ITIL-based processes, monitoring/observability tools, and automation tooling (Ansible, TFS, Jenkins).
- Solid understanding of Change Management and hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Experience optimising databases and working in cloud-based or hybrid architectures.
