THE ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity for a paralegal to join a busy, specialist team and take on real responsibility from day one. You will support fee earners across an active caseload of personal injury and medical negligence matters, managing your own files where appropriate and playing a central role in progressing claims from instruction through to resolution. This role is well suited to someone who is committed to building a career as a paralegal and who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Please note there is no training contract attached to this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and progress a caseload of personal injury and medical negligence files under supervision.
- Draft correspondence, court documents and settlement documentation to a high standard.
- Liaise with clients, medical experts, counsel and third parties throughout the life of a claim.
- Obtain and review medical records, expert reports and supporting evidence.
- Prepare files for hearing, mediation or settlement and assist fee earners accordingly.
- Maintain accurate file notes and ensure case management systems are kept up to date.
- Deliver a professional, empathetic service to clients throughout what is often a difficult process.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED

- Previous paralegal experience, ideally within personal injury or medical negligence.
- Sound understanding of the litigation process and relevant procedural rules.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing deadlines across an active caseload.
