A fast-scaling technology company helping global organisations in finance, insurance, and tech build critical workplace skills, now are in need of a Modern Workplace Engineer to join as they continue to grow. This company is cloud-first, fast-moving, and every person plays a key role.
Role
Own the Microsoft cloud environment from day one. You will manage the infrastructure, identity, security, and devices that keep the business running, with real autonomy and clear impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure, including tenant management and licensing
- Manage device lifecycle via Intune and Autopilot across Windows, macOS, iOS and Android
- Administer Entra ID: conditional access, MFA, PIM and user lifecycle
- Operate the Microsoft Defender stack for endpoint and cloud security
- Automate processes using PowerShell and Power Automate
- Support Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Jira and Confluence
- Own backup, DR and data protection strategy
- Maintain technical documentation and runbooks in Confluence
Experience
- 3+ years in a cloud-focused infrastructure or sysadmin role
- Hands-on Microsoft 365 admin: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint
- Proven Intune experience: Autopilot, compliance policies, app management
- Entra ID: conditional access, identity governance, MFA
- Microsoft Defender and cloud security best practices
- PowerShell scripting for automation
- Knowledge of Zero Trust and cybersecurity frameworks
Nice to have:
- MD-102, AZ-104, SC-300 or SC-200 certifications
- Azure Virtual Desktop
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Power Platform
