We're recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in central Belfast. They're looking for an experienced End User Engineer on a contract basis, with potential to become permanent for the right person. This is a hands-on technical role supporting a diverse client base across email and web security, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management.
Day-to-day:
- Act as the primary technical contact for clients, delivering tailored solutions
- Implement, configure, and support email and web security platforms: INKY, Proofpoint, Cisco Umbrella, and Mimecast
- Perform root cause analysis on complex issues around email filtering, phishing, and secure web access
- Handle escalations and mentor junior team members
- Manage tickets to a high standard with timely updates to clients and internal teams
- Lead system deployments and upgrades, including out-of-hours when required
- Produce technical documentation and train support staff on client environments
Experience:
- 5+ years IT support experience, including time in an MSP environment
- Expert-level Microsoft 365 administration
- Strong Azure and Intune MDM knowledge
- Hands-on experience with email security platforms
- Solid understanding of SPF, DMARC, and DKIM
- Confident communicator with clients and internal teams
- Flexibility for on-call and out-of-hours work when required
Desirable:
- Experience in regulated environments (SOC2, HIPAA, HiTrust)
- Automation experience (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Microsoft Azure certifications
